skimmer recommendations - quiet?

Can someone recommend a reasonably quiet HOT skimmer? My setup (75 gal) is in a living room so I'd prefer something as quiet as possible.

How is the Aqua C Remora? How does it compare to the Prizm (which I found to be very noisy)?

Make sure on your Prizm you plug your intake hose back into your collection cup. I have a Prizm and am not pleased with it at all it is very tempermental. My better half tells me to be frank and tell you it is a piece of Sh*t!!

I'd recommend the Precision Marine HOT. I have upgraded mine to a maxijet with their venture kit and it is very quiet and adjustible. It is on a 72 gallon bow and seems to perform well.

I had the Rmora.. it was ok but got REAL noisy!!

I agree with Dave about the PM. I have a knock off of their design using the same MaxiJet venturi and it works great and is fairly quiet. You can quiet it even more by putting a muffler attachment like the ones that comes with Rio's.

I have the Remora with the maxie-jet 1200, the skimmer does a great job, just plug it in and it starts pulling out the bad stuff, mine is (NOT) loud at all, i don't even know its on, and the customer service is great, it was the best investment i made as far as skimmers go. Good Luck
