Thanks for the idea. I bought one of those web cams a year or so back and couldn't figure out what to do with it (besides point it at my neighbor's bedroom window :twisted: ).
i got a logitech pro 3000 and it had some software on it it goes through spotlife. i think its a trial offer but i'm pretty sure the webcam part of it is free. the live video feed costs so much a month. you get 60 minutes free when you sign up but my upload speed on my cable modem is horrible so i can't use that.
Works fine here, if you click on the sign up screen it states membership starts at $2.99 a month for 60 minutes of live web cam time.
I didn't read past that. If you have a decent internet connection you can download Microsoft Media Encoder and broadcast in real time images from 15 to 30 frames/sec.
You will be limited in how many concurrent sessions you can support by how much bandwidth you have. Works great for a few friends or a real-time screen saver at work. (sorry can't show ya, then everyone will sap up my bandwidth )
