Overflow Box Location

I am currently starting up a 90 gallon tank and the water going into my overflow box is making a gurgling/suction noise so loud that I have to raise my voice to talk. I have a bulk head fitting and am circulating about 700 gallon per hour. What can I do to rectify this problem? Will lowering my box help? Help!!

Do a search on this BB or googles under "Stand pipe" or "Durso Stand Pipe". The standpipe will help rid of air being sucked into your overflow pipe.
