i'm trying to rid myself o the dreaded turbofloater once and for all (yeah the one with the rio 2100 driving it)... what's a GOOD in-sump skimmer someone can recommend to me? (for a 75 gallon reef).

Euro-reef CS6-1 or CS6-2.

Other candidates I've used and recommend:
AquaC EV-120
PM Bullet 1
HSA 250

I have a 75g tank with a small sump. I'm very pleased with my Euro-Reef.

I have the Aqua C Urchin Pro with the upgraged Mag3 and it works like a champ in my 75g. By the way, it's an in sump skimmer too!!!! :P

ok after doing some research - i've about narrowed it down to the EV120 or the Euroreef CS6-2... anyone had any BAD experiences with either of these? i've had such bad luck with my turbofloater and it's rio's that I'm really trying ot make a good choice on my next skimmer...

I really love my lifereef VS3-24. Tons of foam very flexible inside or outsied the sump will not overflow.

Just one last comment here from me ... the nice thing I like about the AquaC unit is it is very compact. I have seen the Euroreef CS6-1 and compared to it, the EV120 is much smaller and compact for more confined sump spaces. And so far has been working like a champ for me.

FWIW, I think the tf with the oceanrunner needle wheel would be more than adequate for a 75.. might be cheaper for you to just upgrade the pump rather than spending 300 dollars on a new skimmer.
