Montipora

Here is a picture of a 220 we sell sps and soft corals out of. The tank is also home to my pet imperator, flame angel, bellus angel, female Genicanthus melanospilus, purple tang, chevron tang, two starki damsels, and Puesdochromis purplensis. Knock on wood this tank has never had aptasi or flatworms. Bob lives here too.

This tank has a skimmer in a sump with bio balls and receives a partial (30-gallon) about every other month at most. The tank is fed on an average of 5 times a day. (Often more) More often than I would like, a stressed coral that was just received in shipping will die in the tank. As long as the tank is looking pink and the corals are opening good I don't test the nitrates all that often. This tank has no sandbed, no refugium, no macro algae, and not a spec of hair algae or cyano-bacteria algae. It also has no planaria and no aptisia which is why I posted the picture. The tank has had ich but it went away on its own without treatment or garlic foods. I think some of the corals produce antibiotics or disease fighting chemicals that cure the fish. The live rock has been it the tank for over 6-years. Go figure.

PS The skimmer does not get cleaned out as often as it should. RO water with kalk replaces evaporated water via a very low tech dripper.
