Anyone have this light? JBJ Formosa Deluxe 2X96W?

I have 110 2X55W smart lights now. I want to get more light into the tank. The tank is a 46 bow and it is hard to get a light fixture for it.

Is this light good and/or anyone have any luck with it?

hey Rob I don't have the 2 96 watt version but I do have the 2 55 watt version and it's great. I have it on a cube tank 24x24x24 inches and it covers it pretty well.

I have the jbj 48 inch with fans 220 watts, four 55 watt bulbs, and a 48 inch 110 watt two 55 watt bulbs and really like the fixture no problems at all, its on my 75 gallon reef.

Don't know much about this light but I have a 46 bow also and wanted more light,I went with the CSL 4x96w pc retro.It's 35"x12.25"x2" and I was just able to fit and mount it on my cap,it's a big difference from the 2x96w that I had,got it from champion lighting.

Did you make a cap or buy one? I was thinking of that retro kit but making a cap for a bowfront would be difficult.

Do you have any pics you can show me?

I bought my cap from LFS,he has a guy that makes them to to order.The retro kit is on cap lid,about 6 inches above tank.I will take a picture as soon as I get my camera back from my daughter{she took it to school}

The retor kit is 12.25 inches wide. The tank from front to back before the bow is 12.5 inches. What kind of filtration do you have? Does your equipment block alot of the light?

I have a glass canopy over tank,thats all that is between lights and tank.I have a bak-pak as a skimmer,no filter.

I have to post a pic of my tank. I have had it for a year and a half and it looks nothing like yours.

Do you have a heat problem With the glass lid?
If it is over 80 degrees Air temp my tank will skyrocket to 86 -88 degrees. I have been runing the AC all summer to keep the tank cool.

Here is a pic. of lights.It does get hot in between cap and glass but I put in 2 3" fans and that cooled it down.
