fragging green star polyps

i have a rock about 3 inches in diameter covered with GSP its starting to spread onto other bigger rocks......to prevent a take over of them can i cut away and peel off the part that is starting to grow onto other rocks? if not how do you go about controling them? i would like to keep the fragged parts alive also and add then to my other tanks and give them to other reefers....thanks

You can carefully scrape the gsp off with a razor blade and rubberband or superglue it to another rock.
