Hi I will be in New Orleans this weekend and would love to visit one or two local high quality aquarium stores ...any suggestions...or possibly pic up a frag or two from local residents ... especially ricordea and other unusually colored softies
Aquatic Specialties (http://www.aquaticspecialties.com) is located near the airport in Kenner, a suburb of New Orleans. I'm a fish guy myself, so I can't give you much info on their corals, other than to say that they look nice and healthy anytime I've been there. I do know this shop has been around a long time and has an excellent reputation. My dealings with them have all been good.
