ooooooooo. k. I finally have the rare chance to deal with some minor aiptasia growth in my 55g reef. I am moving, and will have to break down what is currently a FOWLR tank. I do have future plans of adding corals and would like to eliminate as much of those pesky bubbles as possible. SO, here is the question, how should I do it? My plan was to scrape it off from each piece with a tooth brush as I take it out for transport. Is there anything else I can do to prevent what I have heard about nasty re-growth, I swear this Sh%* has the rep of chicken poxs

I can here my mom now "DONT SCRATCH !"
What do ya'll think?

TIA

I've found when I moved, they really didn't like cold water. All mine except a few, dropped off in the moving process, when the water got cold. I didn't have really any other life on the rocks (corals & such) so I wasn't worried about water temp, it got down to 65 during transport. I wouldn't scrub them with a toothbrush or anything else, they reproduce many different ways, including petal lacaration. It would be like the mistake they've made with crown of thorns starfish and the California urchin.
