The diver is often very exposed. I have seen footage of them freediving to collect animals and squirting posion into coral heads with turkeybasters. Ich.

Im an RN by the way. I did a little reading and there are several substances which can be used to conteract cyanide in a human being. My guess is that the divers end up taking a pill, or getting a shot before going in (if they are smart). However, even with treatment, there would HAVE to still end up getting subclinical toxicity if they were doing that on a regular basis (like getting bitten by a rattle snake and taking antivenom daily).

Here is my 6X2X2 after 3 years and the equivalent of 20years of hard labor.
