i just got my self 60 pound of nice southdown sand, but i was told that it was inside a tank (fish only) and a copper based medicine was used!

should i use the tank for my new tank ? is there any test for this ? or can do something if there is any copper left to get it out ?

thanks,

I would say not to use the sand if you want to keep inverts and corals. The sand will leach the copper into your system. Why risk it? 60lbs of Oolitic sand would only run you $60 bucks and that is a small price to pay for peace of mind and the long term health of the hundreds of dollars of livestock you will have in the long run.
