Xenia questions

I have been looking all over the web to find some insight on xenias. I seen some really nice Xenias on Garf's site, but I have read on the board how they just color up the photos. I can't seem to find any info on the Bali and True Blue Fiji Xenias.
So my questions are:

1) Are those Xenias on Garf's site special Xenias or just Garf giving them a fancy name?
2) Do Xenias really come in blue/purple?
3) What are the rarities of those two type of Xenias?
4) What colors do Xenias mostly come in and does light affect their coloring?
5) What should my Alkalnity (sp?) be if I want to keep Xenias?
6) If they are rare, should I order them from Garf?

Atm my alk is at 14dkh. Not sure if that is high or not. If it is high, how do I lower it?

Atm, I know xenias come in pink and brown.

I have a 40 gallon tank with 2x96 watts lighting, 2 clown fish, 4 colony of mushrooms, 1 grape bubble coral, maxima clam(i think), some snails, 2x fire shrimp, 1 camel shrimp, (going to get some peppermint), macro-algae, 20-40lb of lr and 50 lb life sand in the main tank. In my refugium, I have an additional 40-60 lbs of aragonite with a mombasa (sp?) protien skimmer.

Readings are
0 nitrite
0 ammonia
5-10ppm nitrate
400 on calicum
14 dkh

Any help would be appreciated.

hi.
Do a search on "blue Xenia" here, and you will be able to find related threads.

Anyway...
1, AFAIK, garf does not do any genetic stuffs, and so those Xenias are just tank-raised specimens that used to be wild. You need to contact garf to verify everything.

I refer to my son's tricycle as "Ultimate Grass Lawn Killer" (UGLK), and to him, it is very special.

2, Carnation comes in green around St. Patrick's Day too, but I guess you can always use a green lamp to make a white flower green.

3, They are not endangered species.

4, Pinkish/Coral color, but under low light, they mostly turn to more brownish. See 2, above.

5, They like high alkanity and high pH, IME. Don't care about calcium.

6, see 3, above. Everything is your personal choice. Good luck.
