I noticed my frogspawn started to retreat 2 days ago.
I think it may have caugth it when I had to move it to make room for a hammer I just got.

I freshwater dipped it, anything else I should try if that didn't work?

You've got to act quick!
Prepare a Lugol's dip (Iodine/iodide) and relocate the coral to a higher area of water circulation. I lost a beautiful 7" Euphyllia in 3 days before I learned about the iodine dip.
Most general reef books have the dilution instructions and procedures.

Lord knows I don't know everything, but I've never heard of freshwater dipping a coral...For problems like that with Euphyllias I usually blow off the decaying tissue and give it a Lugol's dip twice a day for a week or so- until it stabilizes. Ken Aqua Tech D works well too.

read about the freshwater dip in Borneman's "Aquarium Corals"
I'll try the lugols dip tomorrow if it persists.
Right now it's releasing Zooxanthellae, so I don't want to do much more.

But I dipped the Hammer and it looks much better already.

Well today it looks really good.
I added some extra Iodine last night.
(Hope it slows down the xenia)
I had to siphon off the rest of the jelly that the freshwater dip killed today. The Frogspawn and Hammer are starting to extend polyps and it's looking like I caught it in time.
