Does anybody know what kind of tang this it? 2 LFS had these and both didn't know what they were?[/img]

If you could use a tang........................RUN and get this one.
I searched all over the web for a picture and could find none.
This fish must be fairly rare indead. Only thing I could find is they are found in the Marshall Islands.

That is a pretty fish. I like the colorings on it. What is the size of it? It doesn't appear to be large compared to the clown in the pic with it.

Saw one of these probably 2-3 years ago, listed (common name) as a 'lavender tang.' No idea what the scientific is, although I saw it in Burgess. Pretty little fish, that's for sure!

Lavendar tangs are different.. those don't have the stripes. These tangs are coming in from the marshall islands, I have a few myself. Haven't had them long enough to really say anything about them.
