it just didn't look like it was worth that much.

I agree, from the picture on the web site they look a little shaky :( I was just hoping that you would buy one so we could find out if they were junk or not :P .

Hmmm, I second Steve's idea. I support his decisions all the way!

I have managed to a very reliable way of dosing the 2 part solutions. You need a can of beer, A cup, TV remote and a bag of Doritos.

1. Pour the required amount of 1st part solution into the cup. I usually go by the 3 second rule.

2. Pour the whole thing into the sump return pump intake. Wash the cup with tank water, and pour the 2nd part solution into the cup. Again, the 3 second rule applies here as well.

3. Pick up the TV remote, Bag of chips, and the beer and keep yourself occupied for 20 minutes. Comeback and pour the second cup into the sump return intake.

4. Go back to the TV.

This have worked for me for the last 2 years.

Deadfish i've never used my dosers for the two part additives but there the best for top off. so i think two working together for topoff and additives would be great. all i do is from time to time check the sump level and make a few adjustments.i just ordered a new one for a new take i set up some time ago and i'm done with remembering to topup every night. Just remember, they only pump what you tell them to and there is no float to stick and flood your floor! good luck and keep us posted, you did the right thing!!

I received my pumps, there hooked up and running great,
so I recommend Donnie's pumps if you want to go this rout, what's cool is I can set the pumps to stop once they reach 15 ml, they reset every 24 hours so the next day they start over automatically, that away I'm sure to get the exact amount dosed in that I want, and you can also set the rate down to 1 ml per hour, very cool, take note that these are not new, they have been used in hospitals and refurbished, I found a link below that shows how much they are new, quite expensive I'd say, but you know, anything to do with medical will be hiked up about 50 times in price.

Priced as new:

yikes! back up, when I got home they were beeping, when you set an amount for them to dose and they finnish that dose they start beeping, they don't actually start over again, I don't know were I got that, I guess I mis read it.

So first question does anyone think that 24 ml in 24 hours is too much for a 58 gal?
The A,B stuff is rated 10ml per 40 gal. per day.

And second, if 24 ml is too much, do you think that I could delute the A,B stuff with RO water, say half & half to get 12ml?

oh, yea I'm at home without my password so I had to set up another user name, I didn't want anyone going the whole weekend with my screwed up info, sorry.
