I started with two shrooms (possibly Discosoma carlgreni ) on a piece of live rock and those two split into four and and then eight,But they are very small,aprox.1/4".How long does it take for them to reach full size?It has been over a month now.Should they be fed?Is this normal?

Don't need feeding, and yes it is normal. Growth rates vary quite a bit for varying conditions and species.

Thanks , cause if I can't keep shrooms alive I'm gonna go back to Goldfish!

Give youself some credit! They're reproducing!!! See how long it takes for goldfish to divide...

I wouldn't bother feeding them. Ernie is right, depending on your lighting situation and water parameters, they can assume any size/shape that they want. With shrooms, the size isn't a good indicator of overall health, if there was a problem, their messentries would be hanging out or they'd appear bleached. HTH
