Chiller users

Would you mind telling me what controller you use and what kind of temp swing you have with it. I use a Medusa controller and so far have not been very happy with it. The temp swings is almost 2 degrees evey two hours. The instructions say it should be one dregree. It goes up about 2 degrees in 1.5 hours and the chiller drops it 2 dgrees in about .5 hours.

I have another dispay board on its way but even the manufacture says these boards are having a swing of 1.4-2 degrees.

I have a CSL chiller and the controller came with it--the minimum temperature swing is 1 degree. I also have an AquaController so I can adjust the temperature swing in tenths of a degree.

My chiller and heaters (lighting, doser, ect) are controlled by an Octopus controller. Probably more than you want to spend just for a chiller controller though. I have mine set at +- .5 degrees. It can be set at less of a swing than that if desired. Before I got the Octopus I was using the CSL controller that came with it. It shows you can set it for +1 degree but it was closer to 1.5 degrees before it kicked on (per the Octopus temperature reading).

Aqualogic controller...set to 1 degree sensitivity (it's min.) It keeps the upside swing to less than a degree.
