So this nudibranch comes strolling along...

I found this nudibranch in my tank. I tried but I couldn't get a good picture. It most likely hitchiked in on my rock - I have Florida gulf-view rock...

It's about a half inch long, has a pink body with a purple "skirt" - the very edge of the skirt is outlined with white. It has two antennae, and a feathery thing in the back.

Any idea as to what it could be?

Feathery thing on the back are the lungs. (Nudi = naked, branch = lung).
The description sounds like a "spanish dancer", but they are usually more purple than pink.

The colors are pale (it looks white from a distance), pink top, purple skirt...

Well I'm always keeping an eye on things, which isn't so hard as it's only a 29g...

I was just wondering if this thing commonly arrives on Florida rock.

commonly no. but it is nice to get a free critter. the species you describe eats sponges try to get some growing for him otherwise he'll shrink up and die.

Being the cautious sort these days, and having such a small aquarium (29g), I removed the suspect.

those guys love to get chucked by overflows and powerheads...... watch-em they are drawn to high flow areas by the all mighty nudibranc god...
