This weekend I was putting together some PVC for a calcium reactor feed & I got some of the purple primer inside the T where it will come into contact with tank water. Knowing this stuff is for drinking water pipes I would not think it would be toxic in any way, but I want to be sure before I hook it up. Is there any danger having purple primer dried on the inside of a T ?

Thanks
Andy

IMO no problem. I used the purple primer to put together a bunch of stuff a few years ago and I have seen no problems. I just let it cure for 24 hours befoer running water through.

i've actually used it to 'paint' the white PVC..... coralline grows a lot faster on dark surfaces, for some reason.

i dried it for a few days on top of the furnace, one day after there was no detectable solvent odor.

no problems.
