Just wondering if anybody else has no luck with aqua-huts livestock?? They are by far the cheapest for dry goods and supplies. I have been keeping reef and fish-only tanks for over16+ years. I moved to suffolk about 3 years ago and have been looking for a GOOD lfs. It seems that every fish I have purchased from aqua-hut has died within 2 weeks!!! That includes qt first. Two clowns and a moray are the only fish out of about 15 that have survived. I have yet to try country critters but I have been there to check it out. Even my green chromis had ich about 3 days after I purchased them. (lucky I had them in qt!)
Any Thoughts???

alot of lfs have ich problems and there fish sucks.there are places out there that do have ok fish,but nine times out of ten the fish are just in poor health.there are vendors here who sell fish,you might want to check them out,but i stop buying lfs fish about a year ago,makes no sense to kill off all the fish i have had for a long time now.

Are you finding the dead bodies? If not I would say if you are adding the fish to the tank with the moray eel that would be the culprit.

No sorry I should have mentioned that I have three tanks. The moray is in a different tank. That's a funny question though. Be some expensive dinner hah!!! I have bought fish from alot of stores and I agree that they are not in great condition most of the time. But in a qt tank I have saved many of them. It just seems that I have no luck with the fish from aqua-hut??? I also never tried mail order so any input would be great!! I just don't want to waste any more money at that store. I set-up a new 100 gal. reef and would like to stock it. The rocks have been in a holding tank for a year and are alive and cycled. No new tank-syndrome and its been cylced for 3 months now. I swaped in some anemones and they are as happy as ever!!!

ok let me tell you that i have ordered fish online at www.saltwaterfish.com between me and my folks we have ordered a total of 9 for them and 2 for me and have not loss one.though you have to spend $79 minimum order,but if you start a group but that would help out.i know that nyaquatic sell fish and ship and he is a vendor here.

i kid you not,im not saying that it cant happen but from my experience i think there great and they get those packages out quick.everyfish is eating within a few days.the last time me and my folks ordered was three weeks ago,and all fish are doing great.take a loook,i mean some prices are a bit crazy but if you sign up for there newsletter they'll e-mail you specials.its pretty cool.
