As my tank is now about nine months old I have developed a bright lime green to forest green (algae?)(coraline algae?) growth on everything (except the glass). This growth seems to be a dusting, to full covering in thickness(but not as enveloping as my purple and pink coraline).
Is this green coraline or just some other common green algae? It is very attractive in its intensity of color not at all like the green-brown color of hair algae.

There are many types of algae that grow in tanks. If it is coralline it will look and grow just like the pink, except that it is green.

Green coralline looks like purle coralline.
i think you have some kind of hair algae or something like that, but prolly not coralline.

probably not coralline ...coralline has light color edges ..and the green veriety seems to be not as prolific as the other colors.. soo.. if you didn't have green coralline I doubt you have it growing on your rocks

If it has the texture of your purple and pink, then I would say it is coraline. I have a fair amount in my tank, as well as pink, purple, maroon, blue and a few others. The green seems to like the brighter spots in the tank, the others not as much. Parts of it are lime green as you described and even bright yellow in places. My tank is 18 months old. Only the pink and purple grow on my glass.

Regards.
