I have a little algae problem. Almost everyday the glass gets evenly distributed with algae. I have to clean the glass almost twice daily to see the tank clearly. The rest of the tank is relatively free of algae, and it is quite frustrating to have to keep cleaning the glass so often.
I have a Calcium reactor, but have not hooked it up due to additional CO2 possibly making my problem worse. I've recently thought of kalk, (I ran out of B ionic a while back) and heard or read it can help precipitate phosphate, which in turn could help my problem.
That being said, I figure most would say check water source first and try to make sure your water is free of phosphate. Unfortunately, I can't make my own water in my apartment complex. I have to buy it premade, so I don't have a choice. I was just wondering what you guys think about my options. Should I:
hook up reactor
dose kalk (Ball's pickling lime)
B ionic
Thanks
