Fusing Frags??

Quick question for SPS experts out there....I had a small orange monti colony (two branches, both about 1 inch in a v shape) which broke in two pieces when a rock fell on it. Would it be possible to lay the pieces next to each other in the hopes they would "fuse" back together, or would they end up stinging each other?

They won't sting eachother because they're clones of the same polyp. I bet they just can't wait to get together! You can use this to your advantage to make a quick colony frag from several single branches. HTH
