I have a 5' tall skimmer that is 6" in diameter. I would need to use about 6 - 4" airstones. At the LFS 3" airstones are $3 each. Cost me around $20 to buy enough for a month. I costs me about $7 for each KW awesome air diffuser. Always a reason! :lol:

Plus the air stones that i made are much bigger. My skimmer is a DIY, a tall one too. The skimmer has run the best it ever has, since the new stones...My LFS also sells them for $6.00 for a pack of 2....I made 10 stones for a little over $4.00

The KW Awesome Air diffuser also lowers the back pressure on the pump, resulting in even more air being pumped through the diffuser. That is according to the inventor herself! Beyond my ability to test.
