hi, I have a couple smaller tanks set up especially for shrimp breeding. right now i just have Lysmata amboinensis (white banded cleaner shrimp) pairs. but i would like to get my hands on a more exotic genus/species, Thor amboinensis. if anyone has any info on where i can acquire some breeding specimens or at least some info on them, please advise. my email is [email protected]

This isn't much help, but L. amboinensis larvae are incredibly difficult to rear. I think Waikiki aquarium is the only place to succeed. The peppermint shrimp L. wurdemanni is much easier to rear as the larvae feed on Artemia nauplii. I have a pair of the same shrimp you have that are both continuously pregnant and release larvae every week and a half or so. However, I just let the babies feed my corals.
