VARIO dosing pump heat / can you run 24/7 ?

I just got a Vario 3 and I ran it all day today on a very low setting. Can you do this? I found the body was VERY hot to the touch. I am trying to tune the pump to run at night dosing Kalkwasser Should I run shorter time / faster amount doing sessions?

Anyone have this pump? like it or dislike it?

I have the same pump (Vario 3 Plus), I think it states in the advertisements and possibly the directions that it should not be used for dosing kalk and that it is not for continous use. I use it to dose C-Balance but it only runs 3 minutes a day..no heat. I have not figured out what to use the 3rd channel for.

I use a reef filler from Champion for dosing kalk.

I have a litre-meter which is similar, although I don't think it will run slowly like it sound like yours does. Mine doses around every 20 minutes- but always at the same speed. To dose more it just runs longer at each interval. I think yours probably should be run the same way.
