PFO Pendant/Reflector Question

I have a 180l tank and am looking to buy qty (3) of the PFO Parallel reflector pendants from Marine Depot. It includes a socket for a metal halide and (2) sockets and (1) ballast for 28w power compacts. I believe I would mount this parallel to my tank. If I install 3 of these, that would give me 168W of Power Compact lighting, which I would use for actinic supplement/dawn/dusk. This pendant is 15 inches wide. Is this enough actinic lighting (168W) or should I buy the 24 inch wide pendant, which has a higher wattage output..?? Only problem with 24 in pendant is that the fit would be pretty tight....anyone out there using these pendants???

Reefstar,

IMO, the 28W PCs aren't enough for your application. Especially if you are considering using 6500K Iwasakis as your MH bulbs. Have you considered one of PFOs hoods instead of the pendants? This way you could utilize VHO actinics and it might even be cheaper.
