I own a maintenance company and was considering using these. The design and construction looks solid and it is a pretty straight forward device. I have not gotten one yet but probably will shortly.

I have one and it works great. There are cheaper float switches out there, but you're limited on the wattage of the pumps you can run through them. The way the Aquadevice is designed, there's also minimal risk of shock. I originally had a 6.4g Nurce for my 50g, but with a 150g, I needed a float switch for a 29g I'm using as a makeup water reservoir.

It looks great! I use floatswitches from grainger, which ends up being basically the same thing for the same price. If I have to by float switches in the future, this is what I will go with.

I own one of those units and I have to wholeheartedly endorse it. Not only is it a quality product, the customer service is OUTSTANDING.

I obtainted my float switch secondhand. It hadn't ever been used, but was previously owned. About 2 months after I put it into service, it burned out. Nothing catastrophic, it just ceased operating. Once I figured out who made it (had to do some searching), I took some pics of the internals and sent emails asking if I was correct in my assumption on the part that needed to be replaced. The reply email came quickly and affirmed my assumption. I also received an offer to repair and upgrade my unit if I paid for shipping. The offer was in spite of the fact that I told Aquadevices that I had bought the unit used.

The turnaround was great and the new design has been in continous service for the last 20 months with no problems.

Regards,
Scott
