I just recieved a Finger Leather from a fellow reefer and was wondering if its supposed to be "limp"? This one just bends right over like a fallen tree. Its not too big, I'd say 3-4" tall. I just got it last night. The guy I got him from was breaking down his 180g and selling everything in it. I think its been through quite a few moves in that tank, with grabing certain corals and LR and what not. The polyps look to be open although I'm obvisouly not the expert here.

I picked up a Colt from him also and that opened right up and extended an hour after being in my tank.

Here is a macro I just took of it. The polyps look to me to be open so whats wrong with it?

Its a normal behavior when soft corals are placed into new environments. They have to readjust to current and lighting and it takes some time. It will likely be perfectly fine. If it starts to decompose, thats another story. But, for now, I'd leave it alone sicne the polyps are out.
