If you had 500 dollars to spend on your 75g reef tank, with plenty of coral and filtration and a skimmer and lights, but no calcium reactor, would you buy one? What elese would you buy? Thx.

personally i would talk to one of the guys that builds them on the diy forum. alot of the time you can get them that way for around 125 dollars. that leaves you the with 375 to put towards the bottle and regulator. the bottle will hit hard also. but the regulator you can get from harbor freight kind of cheap. in all you will have around 250 in it that way, if you buy one from a company new the ca reactor alone will cost more than the total price for the homemade one. they aren't very technical. the huge companies charge a ton of money because it is a specialzed field. then you have another problem,... now what to do with the extra 200-250 dollars. just my 2 cents.

hi.
I will get a used CO2 bottle from welding shop. Pretty cheap. For the rest of the money, you can donate it the charity of your choice, or send a check to me. (See address on the left)

or you could buy a bigger tank and move everything over. Just kidding, if everything is fine, why the need to spend the dough. Save it for a trip to a real reef.
