I got a pair of harlequin shrimp, since I figured I had an unending food supply for them. They went through the entire population in a week or two! After that I supplied them with a 3" choc chip star each month.
I see that you are fascinated by the gobie/shrimp combo - I have a randall's shrimp gobie/pistol shrimp pair in my 15 gallon. They ARE fantastic to watch. BUT - the shimp WILL wreak havoc on your sandbed by moving EVERY GRAIN OF SAND. He has made tunnels under every piece of rock, and when he gets bored, he fills them all in and starts over. He digs and digs and digs all day long. The gobie stands sentry all day long - and was a "sitting duck" for a mean pseudochromis. The goby would not leave his shrimp and his dorsal fin got chewed before I was able to remove the darn pseudochromis. He is fine now and his fin is recovering. But, I really had to change my mindset about the tank with these two . . . there is always upheaval - and I have had to very careful about the rock structure as to not have a cave-in.
VERY COOL CREATURES, BUT BE AWARE OF THEIR BEHAVIOR!

Sea Serpent
Hey just a thought here but I was looking at your cleanup crew list and if I were you I'd be having second thoughts about that sally lightfoot. I got one and not only did it grow really fast but as it got bigger it started taking out most of my fish (gobies/blennies, whatever it could catch and dang it was fast). If you're thinking about gobies, I'd definitely leave out the sally lightfoot.
