Quietest/best brand of submersible pumps

I need to get several submersible pumps for a small sump that will do about 500-700 gal/hour @ 3ft. I originally bought 2 sen 700's, but I though they were a little loud. Does anyone know of a brand which they think is better or quieter.

Sen,sedra,mag,ehiem are all about equal in terms of reliability and noise level.

Go with Ehiem pump, very quiet , low energy consumption, low heat, unlike Mag pumps which generate lots of heat and Eheim pumps last forever, well almost forever .

You might also try contacting Jeremy from Coral Reef Aquarium. He carries OceanRunner pumps. I'm not sure if they're quieter than the Sens or not, but he also carries Sedra pumps (which i think is basically the same pump as the Sen) so he can probably tell you what the differences are.

I believe the OceanRunners are more energy efficient but they are not as good under pressure as the Sens - I think they're just for circulation (which would be fine in your case). HTH.
