Skimmer decision...advice needed

SKBok: I didnt even notice that we were talking about "used" equipment here! :lol: Still go with a Euro-reef. But finding used ones are few and far between. They a popular skimmer for a reason!

Kent skimmers are actually made by Aqua-medic otherwise known as "Turboflotors", the T1000 to be exact. The Kent Nautilus skimmer is "OK" at best. I have seen many of them running and clasify them suited for 55 gallon tanks and smaller with a heavy bioload.

And its a great review too. It basically puts the Beckett and Needlewheel(Aerofoamer and Euro-reef)at the top and rightly so.

Notice though that the Euro-reef actually does the best job as it processes out all the waste in about the same time as the Aerofoamer skimmer(within 3 hours roughly), and it does it processing less than half the water through its mixing chamber, and only uses about 1/8th of the energy at the same time.
