I have had a seventy gallon reef aquarium, up for about four years now. Through all my trials and tribulations I have yet to rid my aquarium of hair algae. I am contemplating adding some type of extreme bio filtration upgrade. Maybe the ROCKER. My question is what is my likelihood of success? Or is scrubbing my rocks ,one by one, every five or six months the best I can expect.

Bio filtration will just add to your problem, the protein skimmer if adequate should be enough. I found that controlling your nitrates and adding enough turbo snails will do the trick.

Agreed with alien. Also if you have a calcium/kalk system try boosting it up to 450 or over.
