What do you think of this idea?

I have 4 powerheads in my tank. I can only mount them on the front side of the overflows, as the tank is open to view from both sides. It's kinda hard to direct them to where I want as the rock also kinda blocks them. I'm wondering if I attached clear hose to the ends and then ran it through the rocks to were I would like it to be...would this work? or could I put the powerheads into the overflow and run clear hose over and then through the rocks? (1200 PH)

There's no reason it should not work.

i ran a pump with some return hose 1" and put some pvc on the end with some holes drilled in it like a spray bar it seem to work very well.

the only thing I can see is the longer the hose then the more back pressure on the pump but it still should not be a problem other thaan the algea is going to grow on hosae and it will be seen then
