Hey guys,
I was wondering if i could get some feed back about the amount/frequency of kalk people use that has led them to successful results. I have a 125 with a sump and about 120 pds of live rock. I have a very light fish load and only a few corrals, but am planning on increasing the load soon.
Thanks for any feed back!!

A tank that big will go thru a lot of kalkwasser.

I drip kalk nightly in my 55.
I make a 3 gallon supply of kalkwasser and use about 2.5 gallons of it in a week. The remainder gets chucked.

I replace 100% of my evaporation water with kalkwasser. For my 180g tank thats about 5 gallons a day. Look into a nilsen reactor. It's a cheap (DIY project) and affordable way of adding kalkwasser as you have very little wasted powder.

wow!! sounds just like my tank.. anyway I add from 1.5-3 gal of KW per day...with that dosage I could never maintain Ca.. I currenly use a 2 part solution as a supliment....suggest you head straight for a kalk reactor or a Ca reactor..
