Just wondering what your opinions are on which would be more beneficial to my, or any tank. Would a combination of Seaswirl and a wavemaker be overkill? The tank is 72 gal, mag 9.5 return pump, and three maxijet 1200 powerheads.
I guess I should tell you guys a bit more about my plans with this tank. I only want to do softies and LPS, possibly an BTA for my maroon clown. Anyone ever use those strip timer things? I haven't heard much about them.

The natural wave strip works fine with maxijets (same manufacturer). It doesn't use so called soft start but Maxi jets don't require that. BTW, I have a tank the same size as yours. I ran it for a few years with a wave strip and 3 mj 1200's. I then moved to 2 3/4" Sea-swirls specifially to do away with all the PH's and try the swirls. I like the sea-swirls a lot but for what you have planned you could get by cheaper with the wave strip and maxi's. You will have plenty of flow and save some $$$.
