No. According to Rob Toonen's article on SD sand particle size (http://www.reefs.org/library/article/r_toonen23.html), he recommends that about 60% of our DSBs...

should be made up of the finer stuff down to around at least 0.05mm or so.

4Angel- just my $0.02 to reassure you- DON'T RINSE THE SAND! The fine particles are beneficial. I used SD sand and did not rinse in my 180. It took about 36 hours to clear completely, but it worked well for me.

I'm going for it. and hope for the best. I don't mean to be beating a dead horse with a stick but when I put the H2O back in the tank and remove the bags I will be placing my pieces back in the tank and kicking on the power heads and skimmer. Would it matter to have my circulation at what it normally is or should I wait a day maybe have my aqua clear circ on first then kick on the two power heads.?

I would run the skimmer for a week before turing on all the rest of your circulation.
