(3) 250 watt 10K Ushio MH on HQI PFO Ballasts, with (2) 140 watt VHO URI super actinic on Icecap 660 ballasts. The colors have really started to take off in the last few months.

I am so impressed.
I just have one question... DUDE!! Where did you get those BIG A$$ conches !! 8O :D

Are they "home grown" . The ones I got from my LFS are about an inch long :(

Those are fighting conches I bought from Premium Aquatics. When I bought them, they were slightly smaller than the size of a quarter. They have been growing like mad in the tank lately. But they do an excellent job of keeping the sand turned over and nice and white.

Beautiful! :D

Man, you must be doing something right!

(The goni though...or is that alveopora?... :?: Is that a long term inhabitant of yours?)

Mitch

um, never mind...I just went through your website...it an alveopora. I understand that they're easier to keep. Same question though...have you had it a while?

Very nice. Looks like your SPS corals are really starting to take off. How are you maintaining calcium? Also, what camera are you using?

Thanks!! I've been using a dual chamber Ca reactor for my Calcium needs. About two months ago I added a Nilsen reactor to help out both with calcium and help keep my pH more stable. I use the nilsen reactor only at night to add Kalkwasser. I have the Ca reactor running 24/7

The Camera is a Nikon 995.

JB,

Triple X was right, those M. capricornis are awesome. Got any close ups of them?

BTW; the rest of the tank is fantastic. Heheh, I don't want to limit my praise here.

Dont see any pumps inside the tank. Are there any?

No pumps in the tank. I have two 3/4 sea-swirls on the top right and left of the tank. I have a Sequence 6000 pump in the basement that provides the circulation into the sea-swirls, here's a pic of the sump setup.

I had the top off last night. Here is a pic of the m. caps. from above. Normally I never get to see them like that.
