I have 2 peppermint shrimp. One of which is acting a bit strange.. I have noticed on its belly what looks like lots of little legs.. I guess 8O 8O

They have recently appeared. the other shrimp doesn't have them.. they are sort of brownish colored.. and it is swimming all over the place.. Wish I had a pic of this.. has anyone else seen anything similar?

Without a picture it's tough to be absolutely certain, but I'd bet money that your shrimp is pregnant. Pregnant peppermints are a good thing. Though it's unlikely they'll make it to adulthood (although it is possible, with the right setup to raise and breed peppermints), the baby shrimp make great food for the fish and other critters in your tank. They'll breed pretty regularly, so this is a great source of extra food for your tank.

Best regards,

Ken

That was my thought it has been swimming up to the top of the tank and basically all over... I suppose my little clowns will have a good meal if that is the case.. though it would be nice to have 1 or 2 survive. I am in no way equipped for getting the little ones to survive.. :?
