How to plumb this Predator skimmer

Ok...so I got a Marine Life Aquatics Predator series PDFS-IS skimmer for free...and since I have ran a refug from the beginning of my hobby I have no idea what or how this skimmer works.Would somebody who knows this skimmer please give me some insight . I think I understand the fact that the big tube coming into the top is the feed and the gate valve is the drain...and the skimmer is a sump mounted deal...but what is the other smaller port on top for...next to the feed?ANy information about this skimmer would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

im just guestamating but looking at a pic from there website it looks like you hook the pump up to the barb on top of the collection cup the vave next to it is the air controll and the tub under the cup is the remote drain off the gate valve at the bottom is to adjust the water hight in the reaction chamber the skimmer didnt come with a manul to tell you how to set it up if i was no help let me know and ill look some setup info good luck
