The coraline in my tank ias really started covering everything.

About 2 weeks ago I stopped dripping Kalk (Ran out) and I am noticing the coraline turning white.

It was first in a few small areas and now it is spreading rapidly and looks like ^#$* (bad).

Any ideas? Moving all stuff to a new tank in about 3 weeks and just want to know is there is a major problem or not.

A possibility is your white coralline is starting to take over your tank faster then your pink/purple variety.

I've seen coraline turn white when it "dies". I had an old Rio that I took out of my tank and never cleaned. All the coraline turned white within less then a day. How are you calcium and alk levels. I noticed you said you are no longer dripping kalk.

My Calc and Alk levels are a little messed up or my new sailfert kits are wrong.

Cal - >500
Alk -> 1.7

I also tried a red sea Calcium and it was off the scale as well. I tested freshly made SW and the calcium was high and alk was 4.9.

I am using Corallife salt. Could that be it?

I am dripping kalk again now.

You need to get your alk and calcium levels back in balance, you also need to check your magnesium levels,once balanced with the correct mag levels,things should start to improve.

How should I get the parameters back inline?

Probably large water changes? How frequently should I do them? How mush per change?

The tank is a 46 gallon bow.
