If they both won't fit, why would I use either. Besides, you should have enough filtration in a 15g nano with just the liverock, live sand, coral, and macroalgae. My 10g nano does have a small Coralife protein skimmer in an aquaclear mini hanging off the back. If you want the skimming, try that or get a prism skimmer. I have no experience with the prism, but it looks like a great idea and fits the small nanos perfectly.

From personal experience, go with the eco 40, I have one on my 20H, it has been the best investment I have ever made for this tank...Joey

I have no experience with the eco but i do have some with th e back pack. IMO this is by far the best choice for tanks under 60 gal. Yes I said 60 gal. I have a 50 gal with the back pack SR2 in the 15 gal sump. It does the job perfectly. You would have a killer little nano with this thing on it. :D

Joey French, Do have a problem with Cyano covering the caluerpa or foam slime on the water surface in the Ecosystem? Are you using the standarp pump?

FWIW, Rob, I had a red slime problem for months with the Ecosystem 40 (IIRC, when you posted earlier, I mentioned I had a similar set - up 46g bowfront). I used the product "Red Slime Remover" at the beginning of January, and in 2 days all the cyano as gone. Did some small water changes, etc. and now my tank looks beautiful. The Ecosystem refugium is growing algae at an incredibly rapid pace, the miracle mud is finally crawling with tons of ministars and 'pods, and my tank, corals and fish included, look better than ever. It's only been a month with no cyano, but with the rate of nutrient export I'm getting, hopefully it won't come back in any significant form.
