I have an AquaC EV-120 with a Mag5 pump for my 90g reef tank. I was wondering what the optimum air valve setting was.... I currently have it set all the way open to let in the most air, which creates a very wet foam. I have recently read that people strive for a dry foam (which would mean I would have to close the air valve most of the way).... In order to get rid of the most "bad stuff," what is the best setting? Thanks.

I've had one for over a year now. It took almost three months to settle down and produce thick dark green foam. Since then, that's been constant. I keep the air valve all the way open.

Leave the air valve all the way open. If you want to change the skimmate, adjust the water outlet.
