Search under garlic and do the garlic soaked food regimen. Check all your water conditions and let us know what they are.]
Is there any evidence of ich on the fish?

Your tank is way overstocked! You should probably get rid of half of the fish. All of the fish you have are big eaters and in such a small tank it is easy to have problems. The sohal and naso tangs both need larger tanks. I think you are lucky so far that none have gotten sick. Please, take the tangs back to the LFS. Let them know you think the fish is sick. I would also do daily water changes. The NO3 levels really shouldn't be above 40-60.

okay, i just read this entire thread and i have a question for you, rmenkes - that is, are you even listening to what these wonderful people are trying to tell you?? it's been repeated a few times over now that you need to test your tap water and that your tank is overstocked. but i get the feeling that you're not really reading this. the people on this board are extrememly helpful and will help out any way they can but unless you follow their advice and acknowledge the important issues, it's really all for nothing. :(

rmenkes:

WOW - I think Coral hit the nail on the head. Are you listening to any of these people? They are telling you what is wrong and what corrective action needs to be taken and you're pretty much ignoring them...

If I were you, I would return the large fishes (the tangs and butterfly) back to LFS.

For the rest of the fishes (the puffer and the lion), prepare a trashcan to be used as hospital tank for the rest of fishes. The trashcan (a new 32G round) should be as dark color as possible to help calm fishes down. Add powerhead, heater, check salinity and ph. You do not need light for the hospital tank. Add 2 bags of charcoal into the trash can and change weekly. Monitor ammonia and nitrite in the hospital tank, and be prepare to change water as needed.

Medicate both tank for at least 6 weeks until you do not see the symptom on fishes PAST 6 weeks.

(scratch out the charcoal part, I forgot, they will absorb the medication, if you are using copper, render them useless)

By the way, you should consult with others to find out what kind of parasite your fishes are having, and get the right med for them.
