cvarcher;

there's a little trick to posting pictures here. you have to post the picture to some other website first.

once you get it posted online somewhere, you should go to that site, locate the picture you want, and right click on it.

down the bottom of that menu is Properties
left click on Properties and another box will pop up.

note the Address (URL) of the picture. you can highlight the address (let's say the address is; yttp://xxx.goof.com/pic1.jpg {I switched out the "h" and the "www" so i wouldn't confuse the software), and copy it to the clipboard by pressing Ctrl and C at the same time.

got that? we've got the adddress for your desired picture copied to the clipboard.

then come over to reefs.org and reply to a message or start a new thread.
type your message, then you're ready to post the pic...

let's say your message looks like this:
"here's my picture:"

you need to type {img} but instead of using { and }, you have to use [ and ].

after the {img} paste the address from the clipboard with no spaces.
at the end of the address (URL) you need to put a {/img} again using lowercase [ and ] instead of { and }.

so the message would look like this:

here's my picture: {img}yttp://xxx.goof.com/pic1.jpg{/img}

then if you press the "Preview" button down the bottom you can see if the picture is properly linked to the message.

you might have to correct the link or the {img} and {/img} to get it to work.

good luck.

Cvarcher - sorry difficult to get a shot now,picture taken a while back but I assume it is a type of organ pipe,the polyps about 1/4 inch.
To post pics they have to be placed on the web either on a personal site or a photo hosting site like web shots.Once uploaded open up post new topic,press the Img button just under sugject box ,type or paste address I.E. http://www.****.*** followed by Img button,if all is well picture should appear,remeber to optimize image for faster loading.

Slugz - I use a Fuji finepix 2400 2.1 mega pixel, I shoot in macro using a tripod and trial and error!

Sue trurtt - the star which was a hitch hiker is 2 1/2 inches

Djp - fortninghtly water changes of @ 20 percent and low bio load, I only have 2 X clowns ,3 chromas, 1 pipe fish, 1 dragonet. My tank is only seven months but with stock from old 50G, cured rock in new tank and added live sand and touch wood every thing has been stable apart from flat worm out break which I treated!
