My reef tank is 10 months old with good water condition. For the last 2 months I have had, what I think is flat worm. It is golden brown flakes that settles on the sand and rocks that are not in direct light. It tends to form a fine lace appearance. I have tried to syphon it out during fortnightly water changes. I was using a turkey baster up until last week. I think this just spreads it around the tank even more. Ideas please on how I can get rid of this nuisance algae. Is there a critter that I can introduce or a fish that will solve the problem. I have reduced the feeds to once every two days and halved the portion of frozen brine but no obvious reduction in algae is evident. Please help.

Flatworms are not a type of algae. It sounds like you are either having a diatom (algae) bloom, or that you have been infested with flatworms, which are actually a living creature. If you see the small brown spots moving around then you probably have the worms. If not, it's most likely just algae.

I agree that it is not flatworms. Either get your nutrients in check or get some sand sifters(conchs,nassarius,cukes,etc....).
