Help Needed! Lighting Info

I would be interested in collecting data on lighting used for our tanks. This stems from the notion that watts per gallon is outdated. The info I would be interested in is: Depth of tank, Type of lighting used (may need to restrict this to main lighting used, excluding actinics if using halide, etc?) and square foot of tank. This would be assuming corals are kept.

Does anyone have suggestions for additional data? Does anyone have suggestions for collecting the data? Would anyone be willing to help? (may need webspace, or help with spreadsheet?) I don't mind compiling the info, will just take me a while to figure out how. Thanks!

Dave, that sounds great. I am very interested in hearing the responses we get and finding out who keeps what? under what? Just PM me when yo are ready to start something.

Any other suggestions on what data to collect, or how to break it down? Obviously this is not going to be very scientific, and I realize there are many variables. If we get a large response, we should be able to come up with some sort of general guidelines that might be better than watts per gallon.
