How are you supposed to feed DT phyto?
do you syringe target feed the corals that can use it? or do you guys just throw some near powerheads?

also a question a question i never got answered... do you need to place powerheads at different depths in the tank?
how many maxijet 1200s do you need for a 75 gallon tank?

thanks =)

DT's ? - just dump it in.

How many MJ-1200's in a 75? I have two in mine. One on each side. Both pointing upwards a little bit. I had a 3rd one on the back glass for a while. I had that pump pointing down behind the rock work. I took it out last week because I need the space for my growing corals. Can't wait until I can afford a bigger tank! :D

I have one near the top to break up some residule build of bubble gunk up on top not to mention get some additional 02. I have always kept one in the back and one blowing twards the front for circ as well as to help prevent cyno film build ups. However I have also heard that there are some soft corals that dont really need that much current (usally the lower low light softys).

I turn off skimmer and overflow for about 10 minutes. The powerheads distribute the DT + other evenly throughout the aquarium.

As I've received conflicting instructions, I add my coral food with the lights on on one day and while the lights are off on the other.

According to the information I have read (Bourneman, et al.), corals generally feed most actively just after the lights go out. Polyp extension seems to be the highest at this point and is generally greater through out the night. However, DTs feeds more that just the corals (if SPS corals utilize it at all). Both during the day and at night seems like the best advice. Also, you should feed your refugium directly, in addition to the main tank.
