My Gold stripe Maroon has been through hell and back so i'm going with him since i got him a nice carpet to live in he's becoming quite the bully. hehehe
I would also say ocellaris, if only because you can get them tank-raised. They are on the small side for clowns, and mine at least only take the time to defend a small area (myabe 4-5" diameter) around thier host.
I have a goldstripe maroon pair and a pair of tomato clowns both in different systms.. I would have to say that they ARE BITING LITTLE BITCHES. All I have to do is get "close" to the outisde of my tomato clown's tank and all hell breaks loose. She starts darting around and slapping her anemone to hell. Sure is fun to pester her sometimes.
Funny, my female maroon never messes with me. However, she's VERY aggressive to a pygmy angel in the 30 gallon tank. He constantly has torn fins and such. I agree, ocellaris clowns are super peaceful, hardy, and readily available.
I've had a couple sets of TR Percula's in my care over the years, and they've always been the most peaceful. I've had trouble w/ Maroon's getting aggressive, but never the perc's. They're fairly hardy as well. Maybe a little more delicate than Maroons, IMO, however, lest we forget, they are damselfish....
